About Mahsati
Mahsati Janan feels incredibly fortunate to share her dance journey with
so many other wonderful dancers around the world. She is currently the
director of Qamari Dance Company and Banat Al-Qamar and is
available to teach local and national workshops.
Her classical Egyptian style is captivating and embodies a timeless
elegance and joy. When she dances ethnic dance styles, such as
Ghawazee or Saiidi, Mahsati's connection to the folkloric feeling shines
through with village charm.
Among her many influences and inspirations are Egyptian greats like
Soheir Zaki and Nagwa Fouad; her own mentors such as Yasmina Mahal
and Zhaleh Fereshteh; and the many beautiful fellow dancers she has
shared the stage with during this journey like Masika, Madrina, Nisaa,
Ra'eesah, Show'leh, Xenobia, and so many more.
